The National Professional Forum for Industrial Efficiency and Energy Economy” is created in order to coordinate the joint efforts aimed at supporting the State’s policy in the development of the industrial sector and the energy economy in Algeria, and to effectively accompany the transition from a rentier economy to an innovative and diversified economy, based on efficiency and added value.

In the framework of promoting competences established in Norway, H.E. Mrs. Feriel Ryma Yousfi-Ighil, Ambassador of Algeria to the Kingdom of Norway, has invited us to a meeting held in Oslo on Saturday, October 25, 2025, with Mr. Chaib Sofiane, Secretary , attached to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Cooperation initiative by Algerian MAE and expertise in Scandinavia.

Oslo,Helsinki, Sotckholm, Copenhagen.

Mr. Chaib conducted a virtual meeting with a group of national experts residing in Scandinavian countries.

Quantifying Uncertainty in Pressure Transient Analysis Using Monte Carlo Simulation

Uncertainty in well test interpretation has long been handled with broad rule-of-thumb error margins. The problem is, they rarely hold up across different cases.

In this upcoming session, Ali Azi (WellTest Nordisk) will walk us through a methodology that uses Monte Carlo simulation alongside well test models and static data to quantify confidence intervals for PTA results such as k, kh, C, S, and ri.

Why does this matter? Because confidence intervals translate directly into more reliable productivity forecasts and recovery factor estimates. In other words, better decision making.
